Guionizado por el propio Roland Emmerich, Carter Blanchard, Dean Devlin, James A. Woods y Nicolas Wright.
La fecha de estreno será el viernes 24 de junio de 2016. Con algunas escenas teniendo un estilo muy Starship Troopers, otras con un estilo muy Battle Los Angeles. La película pinta a hit veraniego.
